We're Team Broward Human Rights Initiative - thank you for visiting our Florida AIDS Walk webpage and taking the first "step" in the fight against AIDS!
On Sunday, March 28, we will again participate in a 10-kilometer fundraising walkathon through beautiful downtown Fort Lauderdale to address the AIDS crisis in our community. We'll be joined by thousands of others who understand that we need to take action now to halt the escalating spread of HIV/AIDS in South Florida (the sight of 1,000s of like-minded individuals, walking for a cause is quite an impressive one!)
We hope we can count on your support. We need folks to join Team Broward Human Rights Initiative and walk with us on March 28th ... or, if the 10-k walk sounds a bit too daunting or you'll be unavailable the morning of the walk - we also need caring people like you to sponsor our team's participation in the walk. Contributions from our sponsors will:
- Fund the expansion of free HIV testing, prevention education and treatment referral in Fort Lauderdale and throughout the state of Florida
- Support HIV/AIDS treatment services for those in need
- Raise awareness that the battle against AIDS is not over
